Proficiency Points (PP)
Proficiency Points are derived from the number of days a user has actively participated in the platform multiplied by the number of tasks completed accurately. This metric serves as a valuable indicator of a user's proficiency, gauging both the speed and accuracy with which they can complete tasks.
The inclusion of Proficiency Points in our evaluation system is strategic. Unlike relying solely on Accuracy Rate, which might unfairly penalize users with slightly fewer completed tasks, Proficiency Points offer a more nuanced assessment. For instance, consider a scenario where one user completes 99 tasks accurately out of 100, earning a high proficiency but a slightly lower Accuracy Rate, while another user completes only one task accurately, achieving a perfect 100% Accuracy Rate.
This nuanced approach ensures that users dedicating themselves to a significant volume of accurate work are not disproportionately disadvantaged compared to those with minimal but flawless task completion. Proficiency Points provide a more comprehensive understanding of a user's reliability over time, promoting fairness and encouraging sustained, high-quality contributions.
Furthermore, Proficiency Points play a role in deterring malicious bots from influencing information or voting outcomes on our platform. By considering the length of participation, this metric provides a more comprehensive understanding of a user's reliability over time.
The Proficiency Point calculation is straightforward:
Proficiency Points=Length of Participation (Days)ΓNumber of Accurate Tasks
Here's a practical example to illustrate:
User A: Participated for 1 day, accurately completed 1 task.
Proficiency Points = 1Γ1=1point.
User B: Participated for 10 days, accurately completed 1 task.
Proficiency Points = 10Γ1=10points.
User C: Participated for 1 day, accurately completed 10 tasks.
Proficiency Points = 1Γ10=10points.
